Workshop sessions are a cornerstone of our engineering departments, especially mechanical engineering, due to its focus on manufacturing activities requiring advanced equipment. These sessions enhance departmental research and provide essential training for students in workshop courses offered each semester across the institute. Guided by qualified staff, diploma and undergraduate students gain practical experience through technical groundwork for their course projects.
Our workshop, designed with polymer sheets for protection, benefits from ample natural light. It accommodates Civil and Mechanical laboratories. The mechanical labs are equipped with cutting-edge semi-automatic lathe machine, a smithy shop, a foundry shop, a 50-ton UTM machine, and working models of two-stroke and four-stroke engines.
Subscription is for more than 16 journals and magazines both Indian and foreign and also 5 newspapers. The library also has multiple copies of much sought after books and current and earlier issues of important journals and magazines.
