    Ghaziabad, April 16–17, 2025 — JMS Institute of Technology (JMSIT), Ghaziabad, hosted its much-anticipated two-day annual cultural and technical festival, Goonj-2025, with immense enthusiasm and grandeur. The festival brought together a vibrant confluence of technology, creativity, and cultural expression, creating an inspiring platform for students across Ghaziabad, Hapur, and Delhi.

    Inauguration Ceremony: A Grand Beginning

    The festivities commenced on April 16, 2025, with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Goddess Saraswati. The inauguration was graced by eminent personalities including Mr. Rakesh Singhal (Chairman), Dr. Himanshu Singhal (Secretary), Prof. (Dr.) Aniruddha Biswas (Director), Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Gupta (Principal), Mr. P. K. Bhardwaj (Chief Administrative Officer), Ms. Ankita Chaudhary and Mr. Shiv Shankar Pachauri (Admission Heads), and Ms. Tanvi Gaur (Placement Officer), among other distinguished guests.

    Their presence elevated the spirit of the event, setting a lively tone for the two days ahead.

    Day 1: A Showcase of Technical Brilliance

    The first day of Goonj-2025 was dedicated to technical competitions, featuring enthusiastic participation from students of various schools and colleges. Key events included Poster MakingRangoliTechnical Model PresentationComputer Application Demonstrations, and Business Model Competitions.

    Highlights included:

    • Technical Model Competition: Judged by Mr. Shailendra Kumar Yadav (Sub-District School Inspector) and Mr. Mohit Vashisth (Principal, Government Inter College, Sikheda).
      • First Place: Kritika (B.Tech 1st year)
      • Second Place: Radhika
      • Third Place: Jointly won by teams from JMSIT Ghaziabad and JMS Group of Institutions, Hapur.
    • Business Model Competition:
      • First Place: Abnon and Farhan (Pharmacy Department) for their Herbal Face Pack innovation.
      • Second Place: Deepanshu (BBA 2nd year) for an E-commerce based model.
      • Third Place: Sarthak, Santosh, and Nitish Sharma (Pharmacy Department) for a Green Tea model.
    • Computer Application Presentations:
      • First Place: Madhavendra Verma (IMS Engineering College)
      • Second Place: Pratham, Preetam Maan, and Shivam (JMSIT)
      • Third Place: Mukul (JMSIT)
    • Rangoli Competition: Judged by Mr. M. H. Siddiqui (Principal, RSS Inter College).
      • First Place: Pratibha Chauhan, Abid, Devesh Dubey, Sahil (D.Pharm 2nd year)
      • Second Place: Aman, Vandana, Sandhya, Nasib (BBA Department)
      • Third Place: Neetu, Tamanna, Sarthak, Farhan.
    • Poster Making Competition: Judged by Mr. Kushal Pal Singh (Principal, Uday Pratap Inter College).
      • First Place: Bharti (Maharshi College)
      • Second Place: Nandini Biltoria (GGIC)
      • Third Place: Pratibha (JMSIT)

    The day concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where the Chairman and Secretary honored the winners with certificates, medals, and cash prizes.

    Day 2: The Cultural Extravaganza

    April 17, 2025, brought a dynamic blend of technical and cultural activities, beginning with Hackathon and Coding Competitions:

    • Hackathon: Judged by Prof. Saad Rahman.
      • First Place: Prabhjot (BCA 3rd year)
      • Second Place: Sandeep Kori (BCA 3rd year)
      • Third Place: Pratham Kadam (BCA 2nd year)
    • Coding Competition: Judged by Prof. Amit Jaiswal.
      • First Place: Pratham Kadam (BCA 2nd year)
      • Second Place: Prabhjot
      • Third Place: Amarnath

    Following the technical contests, the campus came alive with vibrant cultural performances in five major categories: Solo DanceGroup DanceSolo SingingStand-Up Comedy, and a Theme-Based Fashion Show.

    Highlights included:

    • Solo Dance:
      • First Place: Priyanka (Valyut Dance Academy)
      • Second Place: Prince
      • Third Place: Shiva Verma
    • Solo Singing:
      • First Place: Ansh (Hi-Tech Engineering College)
      • Second Place: Riya (Sanskar College)
      • Third Place: Keshav Jha (IAMR College)

    • Stand-Up Comedy:
      • First Place: Anushika Sharma (Vishal International Public School)
      • Second Place: Samsuddin (Pharmacy 1st year, JMSIT)
      • Third Place: Deepanshu (BCA 3rd year)
    • Group Dance:
      • First Place: B.Tech students of JMSIT (with a breathtaking Shiv Tandav performance)
      • Second Place: Motilal Nehru College
      • Third Place: Mata Sundari College
    • Theme-Based Fashion Show:
      • First Place: JMSIT, Ghaziabad
      • Second Place: Hi-Tech Engineering College, Ghaziabad

    Judges for the cultural events included Mr. Himanshu Singh, Mrs. Meenu Saini, and Mrs. Sumayra.

    Closing Ceremony: A Celebration of Talent and Togetherness

    The concluding ceremony was marked by inspiring speeches:

    • Mr. Rakesh Singhal (Chairman, JMSIT) emphasized that cultural events foster unity and social harmony beyond mere entertainment.
